Áron Majnár

Website & Media Coordinator

Hey! I'm Áron (24, Hungarian). I'm responsible for the website (and the blog) which has been significantly revamped visually and functionality-wise. I also bolster our marketing efforts on an ad hoc basis with video and photo content. At UM, I'm doing my master's in International Business and have been passionate about case competitions from the moment I discovered them in 2017 during my bachelor years. Being on the organizing side is something I'm excited about, and although this year's edition is different than what I've gotten used to over the years, I look forward with the team to fully exploit the opportunities of an online ICC@M.

I am Elif Naz Karakurt and I am the student representative of SBE. I am doing my master’s in International Business and specializing in strategy and innovation. I am part of the management team of ICC@M and I hope that we will deliver an exciting experience for all the participants.

Hi! My name is Evi (20, Dutch) and I am currently in my third year of my bachelor's in international business (Marketing major). Last year, I was already part of the organizing committee, but unfortunately we had the cancel the event due to COVID-19. For our first online ICC@M event in 2021, I am responsible for all our social media platforms. I am super excited to make this event an unforgettable experience even though we will not meet in person. See you at ICC@M 2021!

Laura Isasi

Hey! My name is Laura (19, Spanish) and I am currently in my first year of Economics and Business Economics. Being in charge of the Operations and Scheduling for the first-ever online ICC@M, it is my job to ensure that the event runs smoothly and all teams enjoy it as much as possible, no matter the time zone. I am excited to organize this week with the other hard-working members of my committee and I hope you have as much fun participating as we had planning it!

I am Maaike van Eck and I work for the Centre for Student Development & Business Relations of the School of Business and Economics. Our department assists in recruiting the case companies and provides jury members from our connections with the world of practice. I look forward to meeting and getting to know the teams in a week with challenging cases and innovative solutions.

Romen van den Boom

Platform Coordinator

Hey there! My name is Romen (22, Dutch) and I am currently doing my master's in International Business with a specialisation in Strategy and Innovation. Since the 2021 edition of the ICC@M will be online, we have to find a way to facilitate all the different activities through an internet connection and that is where my role comes into play. I am in charge of Operations, more specifically the Platform. My job is to figure out how to facilitate a variety of activities from social events to case submissions in order to provide you with the real ICC@M feeling, but then online. I am thrilled to be a part of this organizing committee and I am looking forward to a great week with you guys in April!

Sabine Nievelstein

My name is Sabine Nievelstein, lecturer at the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management. In 2021 I will be serving as Academic Director of ICC@M the second time.

Over the years, the annual ICC@M has evolved into an event that brings together teams from the most prestigious universities, forging life-long bonds and generating the most inspiring business solutions. Coming from a teaching position, where my enthusiasm and gregarious nature has always been a great source of energy, I had gladly taken on the challenge of making ICC@M 2019 as successful as it was in previous years. For ICC@M 2020, it was my goal to make it even better than the 2019 edition. Unfortunately, because of the COVID-19 outbreak in Europe we had to take the very hard decision to cancel ICC@M 2020. After careful consideration we decided that the ICC@M 2021 will be held completely remotely. We are dedicated to delivering the best competition possible and providing competitors the same memorable experience as in previous years. I will do my utmost to take ICC@M to the next level!

I will be responsible for the academic support of ICC@M and the team at SCOPE will be working behind-the-scenes on the organizational part of the Competition. Together with the help of many other colleagues of SBE, as well as the student representative we aim to make a success of this eleventh edition of ICC@M. Knowing I can draw on their expertise and support, I look forward to making this year’s event at the very least inspiring, and unforgettable. Although there is beauty in imperfection, I strive for a smooth organization where all student teams can enjoy working on ICC@M’s demanding case and enjoy true Limburg hospitality in an online setting. I hope that you are as excited as we are about this special edition of ICC@M and I’m looking forward to “meeting” you during ICC@M 2021! May the best team win!

Hi, I'm Ymke (21, Dutch). I am currently in my Strategic Marketing master's, and I have the honor of coordinating the social events for this first ever online ICC@M.
